Emmanuel Baptist is very mission oriented. As part of the Southern Baptist Convenction (SBC), we help support over
10,000 full time missionaries around the world. As a church we tithe (10%) of our monthly giving to support local and international
work. For example. the
San Diego Southern
Baptist Association supports work in
Tijuana,
Mexico with food and clothing, a Bible school,Spanish speaking pastor, etc.
In addition, we provide
monthly support to Friends Fellowship India.
Pastor Stan has visited India twice,
so he personally knows the Indian staff of Friends. The ministry supports pastors in rural areas of Andra Pradesh, in south
central India.
Emmanuel Baptist also provides monthly support to Joe and Allison Priola. They are full
time staff members for Campus Crusade for
Christ on the campus of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They minister to students on and off campus in many
ways.
Now we are looking forward to supporting our own home grown missionaries, Justin and Erin McDonald.
They left April 30th for full
time service in the Philippines. We will provide a link to their website when that is up and running.
We as a church body donate approximately 20% of our monthly budget to missions. We take seriously Christ's command to
make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).
